Manchester United are reported to have finalised personal terms with Brazilian defender Alex Sandro. The Brazil international has been linked with United since the close of the previous campaign and Duncan Castles, who had first predicted the signing of Diogo Dalot, has confirmed that the left-back has agreed upon terms regarding a contract.

Despite this, Jose Mourinho’s side still need to come to terms with the transfer fee for the Brazilian with the Bianconeri said to demand at least €60m for the former Porto man. The left-back position had been primarily occupied by Ashley Young over the course of the previous campaign but the supporters have of late urged the club to bring in a youthful replacement for the England international.
Luke Shaw has not quite managed to convince Mourinho into utilising him more regularly and Sandro appears the perfect fit for the role with the age and experience by his side. Both Matteo Darmian and Daley Blind have been tipped to make way from Old Trafford this summer and the former has been on the radar of Juventus of late. United may perhaps recoup half of Sandro’s sum from the sale of the above-mentioned outcasts.
