Manchester United have reportedly made contact with the agent of Willian as they seek to push through a winter move to Old Trafford. The Brazil international has been one of the Blues’ consistent performers this term but he has still found himself on the bench every now and then under Antonio Conte.
According to M.E.N, the Red Devils are keen on securing an agreement for Willian despite Jose Mourinho previously ruling out the possibility of a forward signing. United have genuinely struggled to find a permanent figure on the right side of the attack and with the likes of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial struggling to impress, Mourinho appears keen on adding more experience in the position.
With Willian approaching his 30th birthday, he would not present a long-term option for the Mancunian giants but he would nevertheless improve the club’s chances of competing for the Premier League title next season. Chelsea have already been made to regret the sale of Nemanja Matic to United during the previous summer transfer window and it will be interesting to see whether they would be enticed into another agreement with their league rivals.
