Chelsea are reportedly looking into a summer approach for young Atalanta striker Musa Barrow. The 19-year-old has impressed for the Serie A club in the Primavera and this has recently earned him a regular spot with the senior squad.
According to Football Italia, the Blues have joined the likes of Borussia Dortmund and Juventus in the pursuit of the frontman and they are expected to monitor his developments during this weekend’s league meeting between Atalanta and Lazio.
Blues owner Roman Abramovich has not been shy of spending big sums in the transfer market over the years but reports suggest that the club could be more tentative with their budget this summer with Alvaro Morata having not impressed sufficiently since his club-record switch from Real Madrid.
The search is already on for another marksman to add to their ranks and Barrow could supposedly be available for a fee in between £22m to £26m at the end of the current campaign. Barrow has netted 23 goals in just 18 appearances in the Primavera this ter. He has managed to replicate his form in the Serie A of late with two goals and two assists in four outings.
