Manchester United entertain Arsenal in this weekend’s Premier League game at Old Trafford. The match is more of a dead-rubber with both teams comfortable in the second and sixth positions respectively but the former can strengthen their chances of a runner-up finish with a victory over Arsene Wenger’s side.
David de Gea has been the undisputed choice for the goalkeeping duties this term and the Spaniard is now on 17 clean sheets for the campaign. He is expected to start in goal as he aims to win the Golden Glove for the first time.
In defence, Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young are likely to slot into their regular full-back positions but we are fancying Victor Lindelof to feature alongside Chris Smalling at the heart of the defence. Smalling has come for criticism over the course of the campaign but he remains Mourinho’s go-to man at the back.
With a two-man midfield, Ander Herrera may have to sacrifice his position despite being among the standout performers of late. As such, Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic are the prime candidates to start with the former, in particular, rising up to the occasion in April.
Further forward, we are backing both Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial to get an opportunity against a vulnerable Gunners backline and the pair could slot into the right and left side of the attack respectively. Alexis Sanchez is certain to face his former employers on Sunday and the Chilean may occupy the number 10 position with Romelu Lukaku acting as the lone centre-forward.
