Chelsea could have an opportunity to sign Real Madrid attacker Gareth Bale during this summer’s transfer window. The Wales international has been in-and-out of the starting lineup under Zinedine Zidane this term, and it is anticipated that he may pursue a fresh challenge in the summer.
According to Don Balon, Bale could potentially emerge as a target for the Blues, considering Los Blancos are interested in the services of Thibaut Courtois and Eden Hazard. Both players have remained influential towards the club’s progress in recent years, but the former could head through the exit door during the summer, should he fail to agree upon a new contract beyond June 2019.
Bale has also been associated with a potential move to Manchester United in the past, but the deal depends on whether Jose Mourinho is seeking to bolster his attack after the signing of Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal last month. A move to the Chinese Super League has, however, been ruled out for Wales’ all-time goalscorer.
