Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is prepared to spend a fee of around £45m in order to lure Nabil Fekir to the Premier League in the summer. The France international is currently in the ranks of Lyon, where he has been in prime form this term, contributing 16 goals and six assists in Ligue 1.
According to The Mail, the north London side will retain a long-standing interest in Fekir, who has previously been watched alongside ex-teammate Alexandre Lacazette at Lyon.
The 24-year-old has come into his own this term with standout performances in different areas of the pitch, including central midfield, from where he put in a man of the match versus Paris Saint-Germain last month.
Fekir is presently valued at £45m, and Wenger is said to be keen on sorting out a potential deal before the World Cup in Russia, where the attacker is likely to feature for France under the tutelage of Didier Deschamps.
The Frenchman has spent his entire career with Les Gones, but a move to Arsenal could be a realistic option in the summer with his father having previously admitted that he would favour a move to the Emirates Stadium.
