Liverpool play host to Spartak Moscow in Wednesday night’s Champions League group stage game at Anfield. The Reds currently top their standings with a three-point advantage over third-place Spartak, and they will want a positive result at the least in order to avoid any hiccups in the end. Sevilla face Maribor in the other encounter and a victory for the Andalusian side will potentially eliminate one of Liverpool or Spartak from the knock-out phase.
Klopp went with a make-shift involving the likes of Emre Can and Georginio Wijnaldum versus Brighton, but he is unlikely to follow a similar suite with the Russian champions.
Loris Karius has taken up the gloves in the Champions League, and he is pretty much certain to start in goal. Joe Gomez and Alberto Moreno could return to feature in the right and left-back positions with Dejan Lovren likely to partner Ragnar Klavan at the heart of the backline. The Estonian only made the bench last weekend owing to illness.
Onto the midfield, Emre Can and Jordan Henderson are likely to take up the central positions with Philippe Coutinho set to feature just ahead of them. Sadio Mane played no part in the Seagulls trips, and he will be afresh to start on the left-wing with Mohamed Salah on the right whilst Roberto Firmino could be fancied to lead the attack.
