Strongest Chelsea lineup (3-4-3) to face Crystal Palace, Hazard and Batshuayi start

Reigning champions Chelsea will look to get back to winning ways when they face off against Crystal Palace this afternoon. The Blues have fared decently in the Premier League with 13 points from seven outings, and they are six points adrift of table-toppers Manchester City.

Formation: 3-4-3

Antonio Conte is likely to stick with his title-winning combination at the back with Thibaut Courtois taking up the goalkeeping duties whilst Cesar Azpilicueta, David Luiz and Gary Cahil will feature at the heart of the backline. Luiz has been serving a three-man domestic suspension, and his return will provide a boost for Conte in central defence.

Victor Moses and Marcos Alonso are likely to slot into the right wing-back and left wing-back spots respectively. Moses was left on the bench for the Manchester City, but Conte later clarified that he wanted to rest the Nigeria international.

With no N’Golo Kante in the ranks, Cesc Fabregas is likely to play deeper in central midfield alongside Tiemoue Bakayoko, who could play as the linkup man between the defence and the attack.

The forward line will be without Alvaro Morata who is still nursing a hamstring problem. In his absence, Michy Batshuayi could get the nod for the centre-forward role after Conte admitted that the striker has adapted well to the English game.

Eden Hazard will most probably support his compatriot on the left wing whilst Pedro could get the usual pick over Willian on the right side of the attack – owing to his knack of scoring goals – compared to the Brazilian.
